Ridiculously short notice about this, but I only just heard. Steve Dawson produced his last record. If you know about KJP, you'll know that you don't want to miss this.

North Shore Credit Union Centre for the Performing Arts presents Kelly Joe Phelps

  • November 29 - November 29
  • North Shore Credit Union Centre for the Performing Arts
  • 2055 Purcell Way
    North Vancouver, BC V7J 3H5
  • Venue: North Shore Credit Union Centre for the Performing Arts

Kelly Joe Phelps is an uncommonly original artist. While there are shades of many formative folk and blues artists, such as Reverend Gary Davis, Mississippi John Hurt and Jim Fahey in his music, his singular guitar style and vocals are uniquely and unmistakably his own. His music has plenty of gristle and bone, also glory, salvation and grace. His latest recording, Brother Sinner and the Whale (2012), hearkens back to his earlier recordings featuring Phelps on bottleneck slide guitar. With all his talents ablaze, Kelly Joe Phelps is set to tear it up and bring it all back home.
